The Pittie Party celebrates the often misunderstood Pit Bull Breed. This breed makes up a large percentage of HSHA's adoptable dog population. HSHA invites all animal lovers (and their leashed canine pals of all breeds) each year to join us for a free, fun-filled day celebrating breed equality. Visitors can enjoy vendors for pets and pet owners, food and drink, a photo booth, a costume contest, an adoptable pittie parade, kids activities, and adoption and retail specials! Well-known Pit Bull advocacy groups will also be on hand at the event. A low-cost vaccination and microchipping clinic will also be available the morning of the event. "HSHA works hard to advocate for the Pit Bull, as they truly make wonderful and loving companions," said HSHA's staff member. "It's important to show that the breed's often incorrect reputation is primarily a result of human irresponsibility and to educate the public on humane pet ownership."
During the event, adoptions of resident HSHA Pit Bulls will be 50% off.
